GRE Score
I have posted message to a yahoogroup regarding GRE score statistic for some universites in US. Hopefully this will help you consider which universities that match with your GRE score. I forget from where I got those statistic. Maybe from here.
GRE>1600 (or V+Q>1050) TOEFL>213 GPA>3/4
CSUN, FDU, Widener, Bridgeport, North Texas, Cal State Chico, NDSU
GRE>1700 (or V+Q>1100) TOEFL>213 GPA>3/4
SJSU, Bradley, Texas A&M Kingsville, Western Michigan, FIT, with Good
TOEFL or GPA SJSU, Portland State University....
GRE>1800 (or V+Q>1200) TOEFL>213 GPA>3/4
Wayne S.U., IIT Chicago, Texas Tech University, U-Houston, Dayton, ,
Mississipi State, With Good TOEFL/GPA West Virginia, New Mexico State,
Utah State, UT-Arlington, UT Dallas, U-Kentucky, UM-Rolla (above
1850), Auburn (above 1850) NJIT, Toledo...
GRE>1900 (or V+Q>1250) TOEFL>213 GPA>3/4
SunySB, LSU, Boston University, U Utah (Competative), Arizona, ASU,
Cincinnati, Clemson, SUNY Buffalo, Tennessee Knoxville, Washington
S.U., UMBC, Worcester Poly, Syracuse, Oregon State (EE may be tough)..
GRE>2000 (or V+Q>1300) TOEFL>250 GPA>3/4
North Carolina S.U., Michigan S.U., Iowa State, USC, UM Ahmrest,
University of Illinois Chicago, Texas A&M, V Tech.
GRE>2100 TOEFL>250 GPA>3/4
UCSD, RPI, U-Washington, U Virginia
Above are Universities for mid range GRE scores. For High Scores TOP
30 Ranking Universities may be Used.
Search your University. You may get results if your choice is in our
database. You may get results on University's location, Weather...
*213 is minimum for TOEFL and score below this may not be acceptable
or student may face visa rejection.
*Above table is general and there may be deviations.
Also scores in sections of GRE are assumed to be V>400 Q>650 A>550(old
GRE, 4 for New GRE).
**60/65%(or 1st Division) are for India, UK.
**80/100 are for China. 80/100 for Taiwan. 4/5 for Japan etc for few
other countries ask Counselors**John/Miku. for details go to GPA
section.
**For Engineering Students GRE (Q) and TOEFL is most important.
University of Massa-Ahmrest/Oregon State U./U Arizona/V Tech highly
prefer toppers (like top 5%).
Apply to UM-Rolla if GPA>3.2(65%). Many students take transfer
after 1st Semester.
U. Toledo offers lots of Tuition waiver.
Current aid situation at University of Florida/NJIT is not good.
Current AID situation of U. Buffalo is bad.
TAMU-college station has poor P/T job scene.
Aid at USC is Poor.
Aid Scene at Cincinnati is good.
Aid at Syracuse University is poor P/T jobs r easily available.
Wayne State University has average aid scene (Good Performance in
1st semester may lead to tuition waivers). P/T jobs r readily
available.
